The University provides many opportunities for students to gain coaching qualifications during their time at St Andrews, running subsidised courses each year.
Through Scottish Rugby, students have the opportunity to gain formal coaching qualifications or attend refereeing courses as a pathway into coaching and officiating beyond university.
Once qualified, student volunteer coaches from the club have the opportunity to help deliver training sessions at local primary schools in the St Andrews area. The club also sends volunteers to the Howe of Fife Clan in Cupar, a unified rugby team where players with and without disabilities train, play, and socialise together in a safe environment.
