The Scottish Touch Association aims to run a Scottish University Touch Tournament each year, and Saints Rugby intend to enter a team into this. In addition, there is potential for entering the Northern England University Touch Series, playing against teams such as Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh and Stirling. This would be a great opportunity for our members to develop as players, and the club is would be very keen to enter a team.

Whilst Touch Rugby is a relatively new sport in St Andrews, we have strong connections with neighbouring Scottish university teams, which provides an opportunity to play both competitive and friendly matches throughout the year. Fixtures are usually held in St Andrews, Stirling or Edinburgh. Although we believe that competitions offer a great opportunity for any level of player to develop their skills, they are completely optional and many of our members come along just to enjoy the social side of training.

In order to support the development of all players, we do not divide into ability-based teams. Competitions are open to all members. Numbers are usually restricted to 16 players per team, and so in most cases we function on a first-come-first serve basis.
